In a disturbing incident that unfolded in broad daylight, an elderly woman was brutally stabbed in Los Angeles, prompting an urgent appeal from the police for witnesses to come forward.
On January 18, 2025, around 12:00 p.m., officers from the Rampart Division of the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) responded to a report of a stabbing near Santa Monica Boulevard and Edgemont Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds.
Paramedics from the Los Angeles Fire Department quickly arrived on the scene and rushed the victim to a local hospital where she received treatment for injuries that were thankfully not life-threatening.

On January 18, around 12pm, LAPD officers responded to a call of a stabbing.
The suspect, described as a Hispanic male in his 30’s, fled to the Santa Monica/Vermont MTA station.

According to the LAPD, the attack was carried out by a ‘Hispanic male’ in his 30s who approached the elderly woman from behind as she walked with two others. He stabbed her twice before fleeing east on Santa Monica Boulevard towards the Vermont/Santa Monica MTA Station.
The police are now actively seeking information from the public to help identify this suspect.
